Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has announced the launch of Hyundai Spotlight Season 3, reaffirming its commitment to supporting creative talent across the country. The initiative, held in partnership with Universal Music Group & Brands (UMGB), aims to discover and nurture emerging musicians by offering them a national stage to showcase original music.
Following the success of its first two seasons — which featured 12 original tracks and garnered over 150 million views on YouTube — Spotlight returns with the promise of new voices, compositions, and engaging musical experiences that reflect India’s diverse soundscape.
Commenting on the launch, Tarun Garg, whole-time director and chief operating officer, Hyundai Motor India Limited, said, “At Hyundai, innovation and customer experience are at the heart of everything we do. Hyundai Spotlight embodies this vision, creating a platform that blends talent with innovation to deliver unparalleled entertainment.”
“More than just a stage, it is a movement that nurtures and empowers young Indian artists to express themselves through music. Hyundai Spotlight deeply resonates with our aspirational customer base, offering an unforgettable experience and fuelling the dreams of an enthusiastic audience. Our collaboration with UMGB over the past two years has been incredibly rewarding, built on a shared commitment to excellence,” he added.
Artist-first approach continues
Universal Music Group’s ongoing collaboration with Hyundai strengthens its ‘artist-first’ philosophy, offering new talent opportunities to work with established names in the industry.
Devraj Sanyal, chairman and CEO, India and South Asia, SVP Strategy, AMEA, Universal Music Group, added, “Artist-first is a motto that we at UMG have ingrained within our very fabric. It’s at the core of our business and with Hyundai, we have found the perfect partner to take this forward into the consumer space.”
“The very thought of giving new emerging music talent a chance to collaborate with some of the most established names in the business, in order to create music that is at once relevant and resonates, is an exciting one. We have worked on this dream painstakingly now for over three years, spanning two seasons, and created an enabling platform for artists of all ages to express themselves”
The launch event was attended by several notable artists, including Javed Ali, Aditya Rikhari, Gajendra Verma, DIGV, Wazir Patar, and Ravator.
